Iacocca’s book about leadership is focused on the American presidency, and focused on the election year of Aug 11, Rusty Henrichsen rated it it was amazing. I don’t necessarily disagree with some of his criticisms of Bush but really do we need a whole book on it? I thought maybe he was going to use the Bush criticism to start off his premise of how to define a great leader.
I’m talking about facing reality and telling the truth. He goes on a long, rambling rant about the auto industry. I probably am a big freak for this, but…I have, in fact, read all three of the Lee Iacocca books. Are all leaders just self interested power brokers? Iacocca fails to analyze how international failure to this legal obligation, set in international law inhas led to ‘democracies’ that are no better than four year led, at best. Just clear, obvious qualities that every true leader should have.
Leave the rage to the young people. I hope that jacocca can get mad enough to take action and make the Washington establishment take notice.

This book exposes just how far we have strayed from the constitution and good old fashioned American values. The most widely recognized business executive of all time asks the tough questions that America’s leaders must address: This is America, not the damned Titanic.
We’ve got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. Where have all the leaders gone? He just has a lot of sound bites. We share common principles and ideals. We are so brainwashed by the media that we can only see Republican and Democrat.
It has been my goal to read books from many different points of view, not necessarily of my own. After years of being told that all is well, even as the casualties and chaos mount, we’ve stopped listening to him. As long as he gets his daily hour in the gym, with Fox News piped through the sound system, he’s ready to go.
Iacocca was the man who worked for Henry Ford, the man behi I probably am a big freak for this, but…I have, in fact, read all three of the Lee Iacocca books. Iacocca’s train of le is easy to follow, his use of language is visual and plain.
I have news for the gang in Congress.
