I have not read many Remarque’s works, but I’d definitely suggest reading this one to everyone. He finds these with Isabella, and through these meetings, he touches juodasid metaphysic fabric of life – or so it seems. This is one of Remarque’s late works, unusual by it’s share of humor; I found asking myself: It is excellent, of course, but it’s also a bit of a shame, because the rest of his stuff is still pretty good.
