Rose and Lissa soon l With paper thin characterizations and honestly westernized feeling personalities, comes the usual ‘nun or whore’ women and handsome good guy and ugly nasty deformed bad guy.
A great action book but it’s a little slow going.
Also kind of frustrating are the contrivances. Don’t have a Kindle? The good ninja, whose name in Shusaku, starts to take them to a safe place near his ninja clan. I feel like if I had read this in a few hours or possibly even a few days, then I would not have gotten the full effect. And if there isn’t really an appropriate translation, well, then why italicize the word – just to point that out? Even at a young age, Taro has all of the qualities of a good warrior, strong and true.
Taro and his friends never have any fun. Japan, Taro is a Blood Ninja, a silent assassin trained in the arts of death but doomed to live on the blood of others. In fact there is no humor in this book whatsoever and that is another thing I didn’t like about this book.
And bonus- women ninjas are always welcome. Whats the age target for this book? I loved that the female characters in Blood Ninja were just as skilled and socially accepted as the men. Especially if you were a ninja.

He is in for a rude surprise wh I got this book through the Amazon Vine program. Though some of the characters seem less defined and not as full as some of the others, I am more inclined to believe it is because the char I was dubious at first, picking up this book already knowing it was another story cashing in on the vampire explosion.
