In truth, he is pabko to that “new” and “eternal” life which consists in communion with the Father, to which every person is freely called in the Son by the power of the Sanctifying Spirit. This is especially the case in the absence of a religious outlook which could help to provide a positive understanding of the mystery of suffering. When God is not acknowledged as God, the profound meaning of man is betrayed and communion between people is compromised.
On a deeper level they affect the very meaning of every person’s life in its moral and spiritual dimensions. The contemporary scene, moreover, is becoming even more alarming by reason of the proposals, advanced here and there, vita justify even infanticide, following the same arguments used to justify the right to abortion.
