Because all of the races here are 1 HD races, unlike Ogres, Trolls, and Bugbears who get bonus hit points, feats, and skill points, the creatures are perhaps znd little too easy to kill.

This can drive future stories at the same time as you introduce the new material of bloovlines book. Over a dozen new templates, including half-medusas and half-beholders, add even more options to the mix.
Most of the mechanics are solid, and I found many of the ideas compelling.
However, if you are like me, you may that you will only be salvaging a few ideas from the book. And last but not least is the Spell Resistance. Limiting the more obscure half-breeds seems to fit most campaign worlds.
This is the antitode. There are four prestige classes in the book, all only available to half-breed characters: The Drooder hates people and really just wants to be left alone.
I am amazed at this series, it takes a very simple subject and throws enough plot hooks at you to keep you busy for years. Each description is complete with possible origins of such races, appearance, demeanor, background, and game mechanics.
